With thought and self-doubt retired, one’s relationship with the world is made of fresh, raw, tremendous vibrations and is felt in the vulnerability of the heart.
The gong is an instrument of vibration, powerful and tender both. This is the language of the heart and can be interpreted by no other means. No gong player should judge their own ability through thought, doubt or comparison. Is there any benefit to judging at all?
There is only entering the sound with an open, tender heart, a living awareness, and from there, playing for fun 🙂 Without the spirit of adventure, after all….. without chasing the new into the unknown…. where is the beauty in anything?
