The first six tracks are played on individual gongs, while the last two are an ocean drum and some bamboo grasses and are for grounding after listening to the gongs. The personality of the gongs are diverse and fascinating, and as always, it was a pleasure to play with them, to venture into their depths once more, and to be awakened to my own.

The entire EP was recorded in the copper mines at Alderley Edge in Cheshire, UK (an area known for it’s beauty, it’s ley lines and high energies, and its connected-ness to all things wizard, witch and Alan Garner). As such it has an amazing and unique ambience.
The gongs seem happy to be ‘home’ and are speaking/singing about the mines, their immense history, their geological make up and the spirits who dwell there.
